Innocent Bystander

Eclectic wines and all-day share plates are pulling in the crowds at Innocent Bystander in central Healesville on Maroondah Highway. Opening the doors to their new cellar, cafe and restaurant earlier this year Innocent Bystander dishes up an open space with lots of timber, a stone bar and relaxing areas both inside and out to enjoy an award-winning drop of vino and bite to eat. Cosy up by the fireplace in chillier months, glass of IB Moscato in hand and devour a slice of gourmet spicy pork pizza from the imported Italian oven, or graze from a share board with selected cured meats, whipped Yarra Valley feta and baguette. Those with a Spanish persuasion may be tempted by paella del Mar: fish, prawns, mussels, saffron stock and green peas, washed down with sample paddle of wines from the tap.
