Inside, in surrounds of wooden floors, chandeliers and frescoes, Mandelli presides over authentic Italian fare with some captivating modern twists, stemming from a background of transforming humble ingredients from farm to plate. Perhaps start with classic flavours of organic heirloom tomatoes with basil, confit garlic, olive oil and charred sourdough, before moving on to roasted lamb rump with pea puree, fresh peas, smoked ricotta, rye crumb, prosciutto dust and juniper berry mint jus.
