Eltham Hotel

Tucked in historic Eltham in the Northern Rivers hinterland is the Eltham Hotel, a local icon since 1902. These days it’s an impressive gastropub augmenting old-fashioned country charm with relaxed alfresco dining and live music three days a week. The philosophy here is all about ‘real, good food’, meaning everything’s made on the premises using seasonal produce sourced from neighbouring farms or the chef’s own backyard. You might find on the menu penne tossed with local king prawns, smoked salmon and lemon cream sauce, or sticky Bangalow pork belly ‘on the bone’ served with steamed rice, pickled cucumber salad, crisp eshallots and a hot, sweet and sour Thai style sauce.
